They are notable figures to be look upon to; their acts, contributions, and roles inspire us even until today. Martin Luther King Jr. Day (officially Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., and sometimes referred to as MLK Day) is an American federal holiday marking the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. It is observed on the third Monday of January each year, which is around King’s birthday, 15 January. The earliest Monday for this holiday is 15 January and the latest is 21 January. 
The Netherlands Nationale Tulpendag or National Tulip Day will be celebrated on 19 January 2019, to officially inaugurate the start of tulip season in the Netherlands. Tulip is Holland’s trademark flower, and the tulip season will last from January to April, when many varieties of tulip will bloom and be ready to be sold or auctioned in florist, supermarkets, and flower stands. The National Tulip Day itself has been celebrated since 2012.
Hello people in Japan! On 8 January 2019 we will celebrate Seijin no Hi or Coming of Age Day! Seijin no Hi is a Japanese holiday held annually on the second Monday of January. It is held in order to congratulate and encourage all those who have reached or will reach the age of majority between April 2 of the previous year and April 1 of the current year, and to help them realize that they have become adults. 
New year is the time to start something new. For 2019, Adorageek will start celebrating with you the classic illustrated children books that many of us have known and loved all these years! Those illustrated children books are often our first teachings of the real world, but such in a fun and loving way that they stayed in our hearts even until today, and are still relevant to be shared with our children, nieces or nephews, or even our grandchildren!
Do you know that we will celebrate International Programmer’s Day on 7 January? The aim is to celebrate the positive changes that programmers make to improve our everyday lives. The International Programmer’s Day is also popularly celebrated on the 256th day of the year, which is on 13 September or on 12 September in leap years. 
The Feast of the Epiphany is celebrated on 6 January as a national holiday in Italy. During it, there is a traditional holiday celebration where La Befana will arrive on Epiphany Eve (the night of 5 January) to deliver gifts to all children in Italy. She will fill the children’s socks with candy and presents if they are good, or a lump of coal or dark candy if they are bad, similarly with 
Kwanzaa will be celebrated from 26 December to 1 January in the United States and in other nations of the West African diaspora in the Americans. Kwanzaa is celebrated to honor African heritage in African-American culture. Maulana Karenga, an African-American professor and a major figure in the Black Power movements of the 1960s and 1970s, created Kwanzaa in 1966. 
Do you hear the bells ringing? Yes, Christmas is around the corner! It is a celebration to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, a central figure in Christianity, and is commonly celebrated on 25 December by majority of Christians, as well as, culturally, by non-Christians. Christmas day is also a public holiday in many countries.
