They are notable figures to be look upon to; their acts, contributions, and roles inspire us even until today. To keep up with the tradition started on 2018, each month Adorageek celebrates the life of a woman hero. And our woman hero of January is Kinue Hitomi! Tulip Day!

Tulips-01The Netherlands Nationale Tulpendag  or National Tulip Day will be celebrated on 19 January 2019, to officially inaugurate the start of tulip season in the Netherlands. Tulip is Holland’s trademark flower, and the tulip season will last from January to April, when many varieties of tulip will bloom and be ready to be sold or auctioned in florist, supermarkets, and flower stands. The National Tulip Day itself has been celebrated since 2012.

Befana Day

Befana Day 2019 Witch-01The Feast of the Epiphany is celebrated on 6 January as a national holiday in Italy. During it, there is a traditional holiday celebration where La Befana will arrive on Epiphany Eve (the night of 5 January) to deliver gifts to all children in Italy.
