Tulip Day!
The Netherlands Nationale Tulpendag or National Tulip Day will be celebrated on 19 January 2019, to officially inaugurate the start of tulip season in the Netherlands. Tulip is Holland’s trademark flower, and the tulip season will last from January to April, when many varieties of tulip will bloom and be ready to be sold or auctioned in florist, supermarkets, and flower stands. The National Tulip Day itself has been celebrated since 2012.

The Feast of the Epiphany is celebrated on 6 January as a national holiday in Italy. During it, there is a traditional holiday celebration where La Befana will arrive on Epiphany Eve (the night of 5 January) to deliver gifts to all children in Italy. Night of the Radishes
Noche de Los Rábanos or The Night of the Radishes will be held on 23 December in Oaxaca, Mexico. It is an annual event dedicated to the carving of oversized radishes to create scenes that compete for prizes in various categories. The city of Oaxaca has a long wood carving tradition and farmers began carving radishes into figures as a way to attract customers’ attention at the Christmas market, which was held in the main square on December 23. Mawlid Al-Nabi is celebrated in Rabi’ al-awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar. In 2018, Mawlid Al-Nabi will be celebrated on 20 November, in almost all Islamic countries and other countries that have a significant Muslim population.
