Batman is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in 1939. Get ready, friends! The Scooby-Doo 50th Anniversary countdown kicks off on 26 July 2019 and will culminate on the beloved canine friend’s spooky birthday on Friday, 13 September 2019! It celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Scooby-Doo’s first episode, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, which was premiered on CBS on 13 September 1969. 
Our woman hero of September is Fanny Cochrane Smith! She was an Aboriginal Tasmanian, born in December 1834. She is considered to be the last fluent speaker of a Tasmanian language, and her wax cylinder recordings of songs are the only audio recordings of any of Tasmania’s indigenous languages. Her recordings were inducted into the UNESCO Australian Memory of the World Register in 2017.
Our book of September is Goodnight Moon! It is an American children’s book written by Margaret Wise Brown and illustrated by Clement Hurd. It was published on 3 September 1947, and is a highly acclaimed bedtime story. This book is the second in Brown and Hurd’s “classic series”, which also includes The Runaway Bunny and My World. The three books have been published together as a collection titled Over the Moon.
Muslims around the world will celebrate The Islamic New Year, also known as Arabic New Year or Hijri New Year, on the first day of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar. This year, the Islamic New Year starts on the sunset of 31 August 2019. In most Islamic countries or countries where Muslims are the majority, The Islamic New Year is a public holiday.

Our book of August is A Bear Called Paddington! It is a children book written by British author Michael Bond, illustrated by Peggy Fortnum and published in 13 October 1958. The book introduced Paddington Bear, the friendly bear from Peru—with his old hat, battered suitcase (complete with a secret compartment), duffel coat and love of marmalade. Paddington books have been translated into 30 languages across 70 titles and sold more than 30 million copies worldwide, and Paddington Bear has been featured in more than twenty books written by Michael Bond .
