Gather up, cinephiles! Filmekimi will be held on 5-14 October 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey. The film week features a program consisting of films that have been screened and awarded at leading world film festivals, such as Oscar nominees in the Foreign Language category, as well as highly anticipated new productions. After Istanbul, Filmekimi is continued in Ankara on 12-16 October 2018, and in İzmir on 19-23 October 2018.

Filmekimi is organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV). This year’s event is the 17th Filmekimi. During the week, films will be screened at four movie theaters in Istanbul: Atlas and Beyoğlu cinemas in Beyoğlu, Cinemaximum City’s in Nişantaşı and the Rexx cinema in Kadıköy. In Ankara, Filmekimi will be held at the Cinemaximum Cepa, and in İzmir, it will be held at the Cinemaximum Konak Pier.
