On 12 November, people in Indonesia are celebrating Father’s Day. This celebration was actually declared on 12 November 2006 by PPIP, a community of inter-religion communication, simultaneously in two cities, Solo in Central Java and Maumere in East Nusa Tenggara. The declaration was based on the fact that fathers also hold a vital role in building a family, and that parents are an inseparable unity, so if there is a Mother’s Day, there should also be a Father’s Day. Today marks one of the biggest Hindu’s festivals, Diwali. This festival celebrates the triumph of Rama against Rahwana; good against evil and light over darkness. in the nation of India, Malaysia, Singapore, Srilanka, Suriname, Fiji, Guyana, Myanmar, Nepal, Mauritius, and Trinidad Tobago have an official holiday of Diwali. The festival lasts for around 5 days and the main celebration is of Diwali night on the third day.
