Mawlid al-Nabi
Mawlid Al-Nabi, meaning Birth of the Prophet, is the observance of the birthday of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. Mawlid Al-Nabi is celebrated in Rabi’ al-awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar. This year, one of the biggest Hindu’s festivals, Diwali, will be celebrated starting 6 November 2018. This festival celebrates the triumph of Rama against Rahwana; good against evil and light over darkness. in the nation of India, Malaysia, Singapore, Srilanka, Suriname, Fiji, Guyana, Myanmar, Nepal, Mauritius, and Trinidad Tobago have an official holiday of Diwali. The festival lasts for around 5 days and the main celebration is of Diwali night on the third day.

Internationale Spieltage SPIEL is an annual four-day boardgame trade fair which is also open to the public and held in October (Thursday to the following Sunday) at the Messe Essen exhibition centre in Essen, Germany. Adorageek started out on 2017 as a humble projects between three sisters to understand and celebrate different kinds of festivity in different cultures, religions and countries around the world, and also to cherish the fantastical world of imagination. A year has passed and Adorageek has grown, thanks to all of you who has supported us throughout this wonderful journey, by reading and sharing our posts and illustrations.

Gather up, cinephiles! Filmekimi will be held on 5-14 October 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey. The film week features a program consisting of films that have been screened and awarded at leading world film festivals, such as Oscar nominees in the Foreign Language category, as well as highly anticipated new productions. It is October and Oktoberfest is already in full swing! Oktoberfest is the world’s largest Volksfest, a large event in Germany that usually combines a beer festival and travelling funfair. Oktoberfest is held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, and usually lasts for 16 to 18 days, from mid or late September to the first week of October. Locally, Oktoberfest is often called the Wiesn.
